The Student and Faculty Review Boards play a vital role in the selection of papers and communications for publication. This is a three-step process.

First, the Student Review Board reviews each paper that is submitted by the deadline.  Board members comment and critique papers by addressing quality through completeness, clarity, and consistency.  Second, the Faculty Review Board checks the validity of the work and results.  Guided by the Review Boards, the editorial staff makes the final decision about the publication of a paper or communication.

To become a member of the Student Review Board, current undergraduates must submit an application to NURJ.  Selection to the Review Board is contingent upon having demonstrated sufficient background knowledge in a certain discipline and having at least one submission to be reviewed in this discipline.  Qualification is demonstrated by courses taken, research experience, academic recognition, extracurricular activities, and/or enthusiasm to participate.

Faculty are invited by the staff to join the Faculty Review Board and review those papers that fall into their academic disciplines.
